That they may be one, even as we are one
That they may be one, even as we are one
John 17:21-23 『That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent
me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one,
even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in
one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them,
as thou hast loved me.』
The idea of the Trinity explains
that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are each God, but the three Gods
are one. It promotes mystery by saying that God is one while speaking as if
there are three Gods. The idea of the
Trinity causes misunderstanding of Christianity. Jesus Christ is not only God,
but also the Son of Man and the Son of God. Jesus Christ was conceived by the
Holy Spirit in Mary's womb, and when he was 30 years old, he was baptized by
John, and was called the Son of God.
Matthew 3:16-17 "Now when Jesus was baptized, he went up
immediately from the water. And behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he
saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And lo, a
voice from heaven, saying, 'This is my Son, the Beloved; in him I am well
pleased.'" Jesus Christ, the son of Mary, inherited the sinful body of the
first man Adam in the flesh, and by dying on the cross on behalf of all
mankind, he broke the chains of the body of sin. Therefore, as the first man
Adam, Jesus Christ died to fulfill God's will.
Jesus died in the flesh, but was made alive in the spirit. That is why
he was resurrected in spirit three days after his death. 1 Peter 3:18『For Christ also hath once
suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:』
Resurrection is the making alive of the spirit. The flesh is destroyed
by death. And after the spirit is resurrected with a spiritual body, it remains
on earth for forty days and ascends to the right hand of God. Hebrews 10:12
"But Christ, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down
at the right hand of God."
Why do people make Jesus,
the Son of God, God? The reason is that God came to the world as a man in the
image of God, so Jesus is God. Here, they misunderstand the image of God. The
image of God does not mean divinity, but a visible body. It means that he came
to the world in the body of sin to die a substitutionary death.
Colossians 1:15 "He is
the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creation." He is
Jesus Christ with a fleshly body. The firstborn of every creation means the
first man. Christ, who came to the world in the flesh, is the first man Christ.
The first man came to give the body of sin to people, but Jesus Christ is the
Christ who came to die to the body of sin.
The oneness of God and the Son Jesus Christ means the unity of the
spirit. The oneness in the Holy Spirit means that they were originally one, but
the Sabbath was broken because of the fallen angels, and God created the
material world to confine their spirits, and God predestined Christ before the
creation of the world, and God Himself went out of the Holy Spirit. They were
divided into God in the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ outside the Holy Spirit, and
they could not become one. Therefore, in order to become one again in the Holy
Spirit, Jesus Christ became the Son of God and performed the work of saving the
spirits of the fallen angels.
All sinners living in the world seem to have their spirits imprisoned
in the flesh. They are outside the Holy Spirit. However, in order for them to
enter the Holy Spirit, the problem of sin had to be solved. That is why Jesus
Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross, and the spirits imprisoned in the
flesh rose up and were resurrected with a spiritual body. Those who are
resurrected by uniting with Jesus who died on the cross and with the
resurrected Jesus Christ enter into the Holy Spirit.
Romans 6:6-7, "For we know that our old self was crucified with
him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer
be slaves to sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin."
Through the death of Jesus Christ, sinners are freed from sin and enter
into the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:1-2 “Therefore, there is now
no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because the law of the
Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
In this way, the Father God, the Son Jesus Christ, and the saints
become one in the Holy Spirit. Therefore, these are the words Jesus spoke
before his ministry on the cross: "I in them, and you in me, that they may
be made perfect in one." Originally, in the kingdom of God, the angels
became one with God in the Holy Spirit, but because of their sins, they went
out of the Holy Spirit, but through Christ, they became one again in the Holy
Spirit.
1 John 5:6-8 "This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus
Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. It is the Spirit who bears
witness, because the Spirit is the truth. There are three who bear witness, the
Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three are one."
Water symbolizes the Word of God's covenant, that is, the Father, and
blood symbolizes the atoning death of Jesus Christ, the symbol of the new
covenant, and the Holy Spirit testifies that the saints who died on the cross
with Jesus and are united with the resurrected Christ are given resurrection
life. Therefore, it testifies that those who are in Christ are those who are in
the Holy Spirit.
1 John 5:11-13 “He who believes in
the Son of God has the witness in himself. He who does not believe God has made
him a liar, because he has not believed the witness that God gave about his
Son. And this is the witness, that God has given to us eternal life, and this
life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son
of God does not have life. These things I write to you who believe in the name
of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” Life
means resurrection life, and without present resurrection life there is no
eternal life.
The statement that the Father God, the Son God, and the Holy Spirit God
exist separately and yet are one is nowhere in the Bible. It is merely a
statement made by Bible scholars through inference. Believers must know that it
is not the Trinity, but that the Father God, the Son Jesus Christ, and the
saints must become one in the Holy Spirit. If one does not enter into this, he
is not in Christ and is not saved.
In order for a believer to enter into the Holy Spirit, he or she must
receive the life of resurrection. However, if one believes that the
resurrection is the resurrection of a dead body or that resurrection occurs
after death, it means that the believer is not currently one with God, Jesus
Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
